The basic gameplay in Blackout is much similar to the 4 previous games in the series and the player can:

A new key feature to Modern Combat 5:Blackout game is that the ability to pick a soldier class ranging from assault, heavy, sniper and recon of which has its own different perks and weapons and the game has graphical improvement over its predecessor. The campaign focuses on Phoenix, who is a minor character in Modern Combat 4 was trying to hunt down Saunders who was a supporting character in Modern Combat 4 series and each mission is about 5 minutes long that is noticeably shorter than the previous entries in the series. As the player started to play in a certain class and acquire a “weapon score”, then the player can unlock the new guns and attachments to use in both the campaign and multiplayer. Modern Combat 5: Blackout game is the first modern combat game that required a constant internet connection to play and this internet connection is required for the campaign as well as for multiplayer too.
Modern Combat 5: Blackout game, as like other previous games, Blackout is a first person game and Gameloft has decided not to mess around with a successful formula so in essence this is the same game as its predecessors and however, there is a lot more happening now than before.
Modern Combat 5: Blackout
Modern Combat 5: Blackout – Gameplay
In Modern Combat 5: Blackout game, there is a single player campaign mode and a multiplayer mode and the single player campaign has a story of sorts as before but it is a flimsy excuse for all the mayhem on the screen to take place which is not really a interesting thing and here, the player honestly don’t care about anyone and not even the lead character when playing.
Modern Combat 5: Blackout game comes with a six chapters in total and in each chapter having a few main missions with several sub-missions and a handful of spec ops missions that are much shorter. The sub-missions are not specifically long either and each one has three optional objectives such as:
  • getting a certain number of headshots
  • certain number of explosion kills
  • melee kills that not letting the health get critical, etc.
The spec ops missions have these as well and depending upon how many objectives the player completes helps to unlock the additional items like weapons and weapon upgrades. In Modern Combat 5: Blackout game’s gameplay, the player can choose to play as one of the several classes of soldiers like:
  • assault
  • heavy
  • recon
  • sniper.
The different classes of the game comes with different default weapons and different skills. Once the player selects the class, it can be noticed that the game has a wide array of weapons available and the player can also customize the weapons by adding:
  • scopes
  • silencer
  • iron sight
  • ammo upgrade
  • muzzle upgrade, etc.
The player can carry two weapons at any given point and other than the guns, the player can also have knives, grenades and a special drone that can be released in the air which scans the area and shows the position of all the enemies in the area and even through the walls.

Modern Combat 5: Blackout – Graphics and Sound:

Modern Combat 5: Blackout game looks fantastic and from the waters of Venice to the rural streets, the game consistently impresses with its visual design and high resolution graphics. All of this features runs at a consistent framerate so that there is no gameplay penalty for all the eye candy and the sound is also equally amazing. Modern Combat 5: Blackout game’s music is very excellent and from the music that plays in the menus and when the levels load to the high tension background score further adds excitement to the gameplay. It’s sound effects are also great along with a pair of high quality headphones so that the player can truly get immersed yourself in the explosive world of Modern Combat 5.
