Lenovo VIBE Shot – General View
Lenovo at this year’s MWC announced the Vibe Shot acclaimed the camera-centric smartphone having several pro shooting modes. The Lenovo Vibe Shot is scheduled to be available globally starting this June for about $349 (excluding taxes and subsidies) which is about Rs. 21,600.
The Lenovo Vibe Shot looks amazingly stylish and is proved a highly affordable camera-centric Android phone. It comes holding a 5 inch 1080p Full HD IPS display offering 400 plus ppi density. Further the display gets Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Powering the Vibe Shot is a 1.7GHz 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with 3GB RAM. The internal storage is 32GB that can be expanded using a microSD card slot up to 128GB. The phones front side has an 8MP camera and earpiece.
Supporting dual-nano-SIM, the Lenovo Vibe Shot OS is Android 5.0 Lollipop along with the company’s new slicker Vibe UI on top. The highlighting feature of the phone turns out to be its rear camera that is of 16-megapixel. The 16-megapixel rear camera has BSI sensor along with six-element lens with sapphire coating, infrared autofocus, optical image stabilization and a tri-colour LED flash. There is a full-frame 16:9 low-light sensor in the camera for shooting images in dim and low light as well as in dark locations and at night. The Laser autofocus feature of the phone offers it double the focusing speed when compared with other non-laser autofocus cameras. The tricolor flash on the other hand does the need of adjusting the images luminosity based on the light.
Connectivity options of the Vibe Shot list out to be 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB and GPS/ A-GPS. There is a 2900mAh battery backing up the phone and the phone is just 7.3mm thin weighing 145 grams in spite of it stuffing in all that tango.
Lenovo VIBE Shot – Design:
The aluminum built Lenovo Vibe Shot on its right side has the power button, camera shutter button, volume rockers and a key for switching between pro and smart shooting modes. While on its left side, the Vibe Shot possesses the nano SIM card slot that allows the use of two SIM cards at the same time along with the micro SD card slot. On the top are the 3.5mm audio jack and a microphone. At the bottom of the phone are the loud speaker grill and micro USB port.
Lenovo VIBE Shot – Camera:
The Vibe Shot featuring a dedicated camera shutter button and a button to switch between smart shooting and pro shooting modes, make it one of the rare breed of smartphones. The pro shooting modes of the phone offer it full control over photography which includes the facility to manually set the ISO, exposure, white balance and lot. On the other hand, the smart shooting mode of the phone adjusts the photo automatically depending on the picture.
