Nokia Denies its Re-entry to the Mobile Market

Nokia
Nokia, last year had sold its handset business the giant company Microsoft. There have been rumors surfacing now and then that Nokia is planning to make a come back to the mobile market. Citing a lot of sources it was reported that the firm was planning on mobile moves triggered by Nokia Technologies. This is the division that handles the licensing of Nokia’s Patents.
The rumor claimed that the company would help out in designs and allow its partners to handle the manufacturing of handsets, sales and also distribution. But the deal with Microsoft puts an end to the company from selling the phones till the end of this year. It also stops the company from licensing anything till the third quarter of 2016. This is the main reason that Nokia has cleared its take on the story.

Recent news reports claiming the company communicated an intention to manufacture consumer handsets out of a R&D facility in China. The reports are false, and include comments incorrectly attributed to a Nokia Networks executive. Nokia reiterates it currently has no plans to manufacture or sell consumer handsets”.
Nokia is actually now turning itself to other technologies such as virtual reality and the other aspects that are handed out by the internet of things. Nokia has acquired Alcatel-Lucent for $16.5 billion. Its aim is to focus on lo T and Cloud Computing., 5G, networking, analytics, sensors and imaging. For its part, the corporate says it is business as usual for the technology unit in the wake of the Alcatel-Lucent deal, with “a clear focus on incubating new technologies and sharing those technologies through an active licensing program.”
