LG has been slowly revealing its upcoming G4 flagship.
The company briefly published and removed the LG leather clad G4. It
claims to leave very little of the G4 to our imagination. LG has been
teasing the upcoming smartphone and the flood gates just opened widely
recently. Thanks to the leaks in all angles. People now get to see the
phone and its much anticipated features. There will be a huge
disappointment for a lot of people who think it will resemble the LG G3.
The G4 comes in with an optional real leather back and a pseudo carbon-fibre weave in the front. The smartphone is actually supposed to be revealed on April 28th.
G4: Accidental Leak
The leak is all about the multitude of the swappable back plates.
The G4 comes with options to glide in six different real leather backs.
The leather backs come in a range of colours from black, brown, baby
blue and yellow. There are also traditional backs in plastics that comes
in. It is obvious that the leather versions will come at a premium cost
much higher than the plastic ones. The LG Quick Circle case, has also made its return in G4. The case has a window to let you view notifications when the cover is closed.
There is also much hype with the super fast redesigned 13 MP F/1.8 camera.
This is helped out by an infrared colour accuracy sensor, second
generation image stabilization and also a full manual mode. All thanks
to the hype created and the culture that is grown up around mobile
technology, there have been a handful of amazing devices in the years. Pedro Peguero grabbed some screen shots featuring the G4 on its micro site.
G4: Slim Arc Design
The specifications seem to be identical to the LG G3. Though there seems to be an updated 5.5” QHD screen.
When it comes to the design G4 follows LG’s simple design policy. There
are logos in front. There is the single speaker grille and the power
and volume button underneath the camera on the back. The phone is
powered by a 3000mAh battery.
G4: Leather Casing
As already mentioned LG is all showing off its multiple colours of leather on the rear in addition to the plastic. The phone has a stitched seam running right down from the rear panel. The advantage of the removable covers allows customers to swap out new leather and plastic covers whenever they want.G4: Display
The dimensions of the G4 is fair for a phone of typical 5.5” screen: 149.1mm x 75.3mm x 8.9mm. Though not the skinniest phone in the market it comes with the capability to house a large battery. It is said to run on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat.
But it seems to be that LG is already sending Lollipop updates over the
air. The DSLR style manual camera shooting mode is interesting. There
is also news about the wireless charging capability, NFC and HDMI-out
via a SlimPort-enabled USB.
