Micromax has added a new addition to its Yu family of mobile phones, with the all new Yu Yunique, which went on flash sale on Snapdeal
last Wednesday. This is the fourth Smartphone launched by Micromax
under the Yu branding. Yu Yunique is one of the lowest priced 4G mobile
handset that is available in the market right now. Priced at Rs. 4999,
the phone packs a great punch.
The new phone looks like a miniature
version of the previous phone Yu Yuphoria, as it carries forward the
same design profile. The phone comes with a compact size of
134.50×67.50×8.30mm, and gives a good grip in your hands. The 4.7 inch
720×1280 pixels screen comes with Coring Gorilla Glass 3 protection,
which we find often missing in many phones which come under the sub Rs.
5000 category.
The new Yu phone comes with a removable
back panel, which holds a 2000 mAh non removable battery and slots for
two SIM cards and a micro SD card slot. Unlike the other Yu phones, this
phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop
out of the box, and not on the Cyanogen OS. This may seem to be like a
move away from the Yu mobile range from Micromax, but if you want, you
can flash Cyanogen OS 12.1 onto the device anytime. The phone runs on
1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The
specifications although seem to be not so great, at this price point you
can’t expect anything more either. The phone will work fine under
normal usage, but will find difficulty in doing multitasking with
several apps open on the device.
