Booking a confirmed train ticket is often
a difficult task. That feeling when you miss your journey just because
your ticket is still in the waiting list is something most of us have
gone through. To ease up your ticket booking, many new start-ups have
come up with apps that can predict the likelihood of getting a confirmed
ticket. Trainman, Ixigo, and Confirmtkt
are all new travel booking start-ups which work on the hot new hack of
train waiting list prediction using the historical IRCTC booking data
and tell you the best train option which you have to take to reach your
destination.
Confirmtkt App
Confirmtkt is a Bengaluru based start up
founded in 2014 by Sripad Vaidya and Dinesh Kumar, two ex-IBMers who
were frequent train travellers to Hyderabad. Being one of the busiest
train routes in India, getting ticket in this route is very difficult.
This made them think about finding a solution to this problem and to get
confirmed tickets every time which resulted with the startup. The
algorithm for the same was developed by Vaidya, and Kumar implemented
the algorithm. After testing it internally for a couple of years, the
app service went live as website on 5th July 2014, and later the app version also got launched.
