Last year, the technology giant Apple
had opened up access to the system wide keyboard in iOS, the company’s
own operating system. It essentially means that now programmers can come
up with custom keyboards that can be a lot more interesting than the
stock keyboard which you find in your iPhone. Over the last one year,
many companies have come up with keyboard applications for iOS, which
are pretty interesting and much more than the childish GIF keyboards
apps that you often find in various apps.
The keyboard is the most essential input
feature that we cannot do away with. Developers are adding more
productivity features to the keyboard and are starting to view the
keyboard as a productivity platform in and of itself. Developers are
developing keyboards where a user while composing messages and emails,
and can also use the keyboard to shortcut the process of sharing other
type of contents that they might need access to.
