has added a new feature to it which would make your shopping experience
with the online retailer even better! Ping- the new in app chat feature
has been launched by FlipKart will let you chat with your friends while
shopping. Now no longer online shopping will remain a solo experience.
Flipkart, the largest Indian online marketplace rolled out this new
feature on its applications for android and IOS. The new feature will
let shoppers share product images and also chat with each other while
shopping.

The new chat feature ping will be visible
as a chat icon floating on the right side of the app. The new feature
will let users share products, wishlists and carts with the contacts in
their phonebook, and also chat with them while picking up your favourite
stuffs. The new feature will also let the users share their screens and
hence making it possible to browse together. Online shopping can never
be more fun!
The new chat feature follows the rollout
of the mobile number based login system launched by FlipKart earlier
this month. Now users no longer require email address to login and
register on the FlipKart
app. It is also not required to reset the passwords. The email
statement from FlipKart says the move was prompted by the research which
indicated that a customer’s identity is more strongly related to their
mobile number than their email address. The research also pointed out
that the number one barrier for online shopping is the inability to shop
collaboratively. Flipkart hopes to find solution to both these problems with their newly added features to their apps.
