Head-up displays (HUDs), whether they
are projected towards the wind-shield or just used as a dedicated
screen, inspired by military aircraft are one of the best innovations
when it comes to road safety. What could be even cooler is when the HUD
like Exploride can offer navigation and some other smartphone like capability.
A Maryland based startup Exploride that can be called the world’s ‘first all-in-one’ HUD is up in the news. The Exploride
uses convenient hand gestures and voice controls granting drivers the
simultaneous ability to answer or decline calls, access GoogleMaps,
control music, hear texts and also monitor the vehicles performance like
speed, tire pressure and fuel level all from the HUD. There are also
quite a few features that are notable including a 3MP dash cam, cloud
storage capability and a lot of other apps including internet radio
facility.
