, Telangana to be developed soon
Keeping in mind the importance of Wi-Fi hotspots in various places of the state, BSNL Andhra Pradesh Circle is planning to launch Wi-Fi services in more than 90 locations in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together, according to a senior officer. In the Andhra Pradesh circle, places like Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and Vijayawada have already obtained Wi-Fi services. BSNL has decided to expand its circle, as said by Chief General Manager P V Muralidhar.
People can access internet in a hassle free manner
Internet is a must for everyone these days. You cannot do a day without it. Keeping this in mind, BSNL came up with the idea of setting up Wi-Fi hotspots. This will help people access the internet through their mobile phones, laptops, iPads, tablets, and other such devices. However, there are some conditions imposed on the internet usage so that the people don’t go overboard with the service provided. Free internet access will be available for the first 20 minutes of the day. Moreover, you can access it for a maximum three times in a month if you are doing it from the same number. If you want continuous access to the Wi-Fi services, you will need to buy BSNL Wi-Fi prepaid vouchers online and use the internet as per your requirements.
Initially, on the Next Generation Network (NGN), they have planned almost 18 exchanges for migration to NGN in the cities of Hyderabad and Vijayawada. From these 18, 11 have already been migrated while the remaining 7 exchanges are yet to be migrated and will be done within two months. Thus, work is going on at a fast pace to help people grow on the technological front. Likewise, another 109 exchanges are being planned to be migrated to NGN during this current year. This will certainly help people to make the best use of available internet services at a nominal rate.
People can make the most out of 3G coverage at the various places
With the increasing use of technology and web, it is very essential that everyone must be able to access internet whenever required. Currently, 450 cities and certain towns of Andhra Pradesh circle have 3G mobile coverage. Muralidhar was of the idea that they must extend the 3G coverage to other mandal headquarters and some of the prominent educational institutes during this financial year. This will help the people gain knowledge about using the web in an easy way.
Chief General Manager P V Muralidhar said that they will be soon launching a new prepaid mobile plan named ‘Amulya’ in the month of July. This will cut down local and STD calling rates drastically. This plan will offer rates as low as 0.01/second for local and STD calls. Thus, using internet will no more be a tough task, at least for the people residing in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This initiative by the state government will benefit the mass by a huge extent.
