Eyes on the Solar System- Follow Pluto from NASA’s App

Eyes on the Solar System
Eyes on the Solar System is an app that is for Mac and PC from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab that gives you an amazing experience to watch a live computer simulation of New Horizons approach. With this Eyes on the Solar System app you can now follow NASA’s mission to Pluto.  This is a way for you to learn about your home planet, the solar system, the universe beyond and spacecraft exploring them.  With this app you can follow along with the scientists and engineers of NASA. Download the Eyes on the Solar System app and get started off with all the wonderful experiences.
Eyes on the Solar System is actually a computer simulation software that was created by Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). It is used to present the realistic simulated views  of spacecrafts, planets and other things in the solar system. All details pertaining to positions and orientation of spacecraft and planets are presented in the software based in the real time data form JPL.  Eyes on the Solar System was first released in 2010. It required plugins for rendering . it later became Java based in 2012 that enabled it to be cross browsed across multiple platforms.

Track Pluto Along with NASA through Eyes on the Solar System

When NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft had blasted off back in 2006 with an objective to perform the closest flyby of Pluto never happened. You may not have realised, but in real the pictures you have seen of Pluto is simply an artist’s impression of what the little blue planet might look like.  After a huge wait, this might be the chance for us to take a first time look at what the planet may be.
With the Eyes on the Solar System app you can watch what it sees, how it can manoeuvre and also what is currently being scanned. This is only a simulation. But it is the next big thing because livestreaming from a space craft from far away is not possible.

The spacecraft will be closest in by just over 24 hours.  As this New Horizons approaches, it is creating long-range imagery and performing detailed mapping of the surface of Pluto for the very first time. NASA has already begun publishing photos of Pluto  and its moon, Charon, for the very first time. This can be a chance to provide an insight into what the Pluto planet looks like. May be it is time that it is made an official planet again now.
