2D images have been captured on Google Earth, thanks to latest technologies and research. Taking it to the next step, the government has given a green signal to the photographers to go with 3D images of cities coming in our country. Soon, you will be able to view buildings and terrains of almost every major city in India. Not only this, you can also see the Rashtrapati Bhavan and PMO on Google Earth in a 3D view. The government has also granted permission to upload pictures of the country’s prominent metropolitan areas.

What are the factors which play a vital role in adding 3D imagery?
In a recent meeting with the representative of Google and its associates, the Home Ministry officials discussed this issue in detail. With meetings going on, there are fair chances of Google acquiring the permission to put 3D imagery of famous cities of India on Google Earth. At times, disclosing all the areas in detail can be risky. For instance, areas like South Block, North Block, and other sensitive buildings like the headquarters of the Army, Navy, and Air Force could also be easily seen on Google Earth, exposing all the details to everyone.
This is not the first time that Google Earth is trying to incorporate 3D images of a certain city. In the past, it has worked for adding 3D images of cities in United States, the United Kingdom, China and many developed countries. These countries promptly gave permission to Google to add 3D imagery of their respective metropolitan and famous areas on the web.

It is actually a very famous and accurate geological software which gives every minute details of any area we search for. The latest version of it is Google Earth 7. This software has given us the provision of seeing complete 3D representation of all the buildings and terrains of selected metropolitan areas of the world. In India, Hyderabad will be the first city to witness its 3D version on Google Earth. This deal was made by the Telangana I.T. Minister, KT Rama Rao. Initially, street View was launched by prominent places like Taj Mahal and Qutub Minar, but this has gone beyond such areas.
Get a bird eye’s view of every place you wish to explore
In today’s date, 3D images are very essential for many purposes. It gives us vast knowledge about terrain and geographical regions of a particular city. It gives us a bird’s eye view and in detail view too, when zoomed in. As we zoom in more, we get to know about each building and road in a 3D view. Once you get the building or a region you are looking for, you can pan, zoom, tilt, rotate as you wish and explore the site in a 3D environment.
Thus, anyone can make use of 3D imagery by making use of Google Earth 7. They are available across various mobile platforms. Any iOS device running on iOS 4.3 or higher version is apt for using Google Earth 7.
