World’s First $9 Computer | Has More Ports than Apple Macbook

The technology has a plethora of advancement in it. Though there are reasonable improvements made with the technology, the cost of the resultant product is really expensive as per the technology built it. Though the Microcontrollers are becoming familiar in these days, none of them acts like a Single System on Chip indeed. Still, they are just utilizing for the coders and other supporting functions of the giant computers or laptops. Can you imagine a computer that costs just $9? Certain peoples achieved the same. A new product launched by a team of Nine Artists & Engineers from Next Thing Co, has made a lower cost single board computer, which cost only $9. This latest development board is termed as “CHIP”.

Know How the $9 Computer Developed:

Unless it is a Chinese maker, you could never imagine an inexpensive stuff in the electronic media. Definitely, the new $9 Computer is designed and developed based on the A13 Processor built by Allwinner, (Shenzhen, China based Electronics Company). Hope you know, the Allwinner Inc is the world’s second largest manufacturer of tablet and the A13 Tablet was one among the strongest lineup in their career.
Right collaboration with the AllWinner Inc by the Next Thing Co earned the early access to the birth of $9 Computer. AllWinner company is looking to redesign their successful A13 Chip and the aspirants of the Next Thing Co provided their views to design a new Chip termed as “R8”, which is now the heart of the most affordable $9 Computer in the world.
“Though, the developers say it cost only $9, there are few difficulties in launching the computer at the same cost”, says Dave Rauchwerk, one among the 3 founders of Next Thing Inc. This is especially because, finding the right hardware and software combination to bring the CHIP a full computer (like at least with QWERTY Keyboard & Simple 4-5inch monitor) needs additional cost, he adds. “OTTO is a tool for experimenting with Photograph” says Rauchwerk and “Chip is a tool for experimenting with Computers”, he explains further about the testing features of this $9 Computer.

“The $9 becomes really interesting when lots of people can help make it awesome” says Rauchwerk. “We wanted to find a way to not only give everyone access to it but to give them the ability to participate in this process of developing it.” This intern rose to attempt a Fundraiser by CHIP Kicstarter of about $50,000. This amount is dedicated to initiating the first production of the device in the market. This event is planned to have a deadline of 6th June 2015.
There is nothing more interesting than the stuff which makes our life more interesting than ever, at affordable rates, isn’t!
