Sync Connect is an LTE based smartphone app that Ford has announced for owners to control their cars.  This app allows car owners to lock and unlock their cars from far and also remotely start the engine. This service is set to bring in a lot of functionality to inexpensive gas-powered automobiles also.  The Sync Connect will first be available in the Ford Escape small SUV in 2017
